Let’s face facts. Wedding days, though a joyous celebration and oh-so-much-fun; can be crazy.

There I said it.

It flies by and everything you’ve planned for is done and over with in the blink of an eye. The brides to-do list can seem a mile long — But what about the groom?

In today’s Wedding Wednesday post we are sharing a few tips on what should be on the grooms to-do list the day of the wedding!

Keep time.

Whether it’s lounging by the pool, or out on the green; chances are, you and your groomsmen will be doing some kind of activity the morning of the wedding. Be sure to schedule your pre-wedding activities early enough in the morning so you can still get ready without feeling rushed.  When it’s time to get suited up, be sure you all leave enough time to get cleaned up without overcrowding one area of your room or waiting until the last second to get things done! (That being said, yes! You can throw back a drink or two to calm your nerves!)

Send a note.

The day of the wedding, send a note up to your fiances room. It doesn’t have to be fancy! Take a moment to write a few words for her to read before you see each other for the first time on your wedding day. Bonus points if you send a gift; once again – it doesn’t have to be fancy! Flowers, or even a cute toy or item that reminds her of an inside joke between you is just as sentimental!

Eat. No, Really. EAT!

Don’t just eat. Hydrate as well! Florida is unforgiving when it comes to summer time heat. It is important for you (and your groomsmen) to eat and stay hydrated throughout the day. Arrange to have food delivered to your room if you can!

Just Breathe.

I’ll say it again. Things can get crazy on the day of the wedding. There are so many people to greet and say hello too, and before you know it it’s time for the next scheduled moment for the day – or now you might be running late! The point is, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. If you find yourself getting anxious or stressed, it’s okay to step back and take a deep breath. All those little things can wait. This is your day to marry the love of your life, it’s time to enjoy it!
