It began in Tallahassee almost 10 years ago.  Greg and Whitney were always good friends, but the timing for their relationship was never quite right. He was seeing someone when she was available, or vis versa – it seemed their paths were to take them in directions. And so, it did. From Tallahassee, Whitney moved to Chicago to pursue the city girl life, while Greg headed south to Orlando to continue working in medical sales and follow his career path.

Months had passed and Whitney received a phone call from an old friend. Greg had been traveling to Chicago for a convention and heard that Whitney had recently took up residence in the windy city. He decided to reach out to her and that was the turning point in their story. The met for drinks and spent the evening catching up over time lost the past two years. Their paths had finally intersected. The opportunity they had both been waiting for had finally arrived!

They spent the next year continuing a long distance relationship – commuting back and forth between Orlando and Chicago. Greg and Whitney both knew it wasn’t ideal, but they wanted to grow their relationship further, so Whitney left her home in Chicago and headed back to Florida.

Years passed, but, through ups and downs their love for one another only deepened.
On a late Friday evening in October, the two headed to a their favorite little restaurant – coincidentally the same little restaurant where they shared their first date. “Six and a half years ago I brought you here being nervous and excited, just like a am right now”, Greg said just before pulling a small box out of his pocket. Overcoming with emotion and excitement Whitney answered with a resounding “Yes!”.

Whitney and Greg will be saying “I do” this October (almost one year from the date of their proposal!) at Hammock Beach Resort, in Palm Coast, Florida!

  1. These are amazing. The colors against the neutral background makes the couple pop off the images. And I just adore the Ice Plant Bar. It’s such a unique atmosphere. Great job as always!
