When it comes to Florida weddings, the weather often keeps everyone guessing. For Rachel and Troy, their wedding day at The Delamater House in New Smyrna Beach, Florida began beneath gray skies and heavy rain. But what unfolded was nothing short of magic.

Buckets of rain poured down as the morning unfolded, and yet Rachel’s calm and radiant spirit never wavered. Her laughter filled the bridal suite, a true reflection of grace and joy in the midst of unpredictability. Guests gathered, waiting with anticipation, and just fifteen minutes before the ceremony was set to begin, the skies began to clear. The sun broke through the clouds, bathing the gardens of The Delamater House in golden light.

A Ceremony Filled with Light and Love

As the ceremony began, everything felt transformed. The wet leaves shimmered in the sunlight, the air felt fresh, and love was everywhere. Rachel and Troy exchanged heartfelt vows, surrounded by lush greenery and earthy tones that echoed the couple’s natural, romantic style. Their guests watched with tears and smiles, a testament to how deeply loved they are by family and friends.

After the ceremony, they shared private vows with their bridal party… a tender, quiet moment that captured their bond perfectly. It was intimate and sincere, the kind of scene that lingers in memory long after the day ends.

A Personal Touch Rooted in Nature and Love

Rachel’s love for plants found its way into every corner of their celebration. Each guest received a small, propagated plant from Rachel’s own collection; a living symbol of gratitude and growth. Even their pets had a place at the table, lovingly represented in the table numbers.

And then there was the superstition. The night before the wedding, they buried a 7-Eleven hot dog and a taquito in hopes of clear skies. The laughter about that small act of faith carried through the night. And given how the day unfolded, it might have others convinced to bury a hot dog before their day too.

A Celebration That Bloomed Beyond the Rain

As the sun set, the celebration carried on beneath twinkling lights and the lush greenery surrounding the venue. Friends and family danced, toasted, and celebrated the couple’s journey—one rooted in tenderness, resilience, and deep affection.
Rachel and Troy’s wedding at The Delamater House was more than a beautiful day; it was a reminder that love always finds its light.
