It was in a “20 somethings” class at their local church where they first laid eyes on one another. After service they would grab lunch together with their group, making small talk and getting acquainted. However, it wasn’t until New Years Eve that Katie and Brandon really connected, one-on-one. They sat and talked together that night, watching the fireworks illuminate the dark night sky, all the while igniting a spark between the two of them.
In the days following, Katie posted photos from that evening to Facebook, finding every one of her photos was getting a lot of attention, from Brandon. As he liked each photo, she decided to seize the opportunity and send a friend request to solidify their friendship (because we all know it’s not officially anything until it’s on Facebook).
The months following, that friendship would grow into something much more. They would meet for dinner and desert dates, just the two of them, sending that small spark into a roaring blaze.
One evening, they met at PF Chang’s for dinner. Katie mentioned she wanted to head out to Amelia Island to hunt for shells along the beach. As the afternoon sun began to fall into the horizon, they strolled hand in hand together looking for the perfect shells. As Katie wandered ahead, Brandon stopped and bent down toward the ground. “Look what I found,” he stated. As she turned around, he held out a ring for her, in his hand.
We cannot wait to see these two say “I Do” at the Junior League of Jacksonville, next week! Congrats you two!
