Through mutual friends, they found themselves living together under the same roof. Sharing the house with a few friends, the two of them barely interacted. Months had passed since they first found themselves living side by side under that roof and Alyssa found herself in a rough spot in her life. She found comfort in someone she never expected – Josh. He stepped in and walked along side her and in those moments the two grew closer and eventually began dating.
Two years had passed since they began their journey in that old house. Through those years, they found they both shared a passion for adventure. Together they traveled over seas to Turkey, and to various spots around the states. Now living together on their own, they were about to begin a new adventure all their own.
A few days after Christmas, Josh took Alyssa out for a day together just the two of them. They hit up the movies and then headed to Lehigh Trail, a spot they frequently visited from time to time, to share a late afternoon picnic. As they sat together along the trail, Josh handed Alyssa a belated Christmas present. As she tore back the wrapping paper, a wooden book that Josh had made stared back at her. The front read “Alyssa’s Adventure book”. She smiled, as she unhinged the side of the book and pulled open the front. Tears began to fall from her face, as she looked inside, there sitting next to the most beautiful diamond rings, read the words “Will you adventure with me?”.
We cannot wait to see these two say I do next March! Alyssa and Josh, you guys were amazing! Thank you so much for spending the day with us, and enduring the bugs, snakes, and alligators! But that’s a post for another time… 🙂
