It was a new job, and as Kim approached the Club at Hammock Beach, she was ready for change. Kim was ready to start a new phase in her life, but little did she know the changes that were coming were far bigger than she imagined.
It was there, standing at the gate of the club, that she first laid eyes on Chris, and in that moment – she knew. She knew he was the one; and she knew they would be together – one day. You see, Chris worked a guard shift at the resort, so it was guaranteed that their paths would cross time and time again from this day forth. Instantly, Kim fell in love with Chris’s smile, and her heart began to race.
It seemed after their first encounter that Kim’s nerves had gotten the better of her. Every day following as she would approach the gate, she would feel that familiar feeling of her heart beginning to race. Each day she would pull up to the gate only to zoom by, without making eye contact or even gesturing a quick hello to Chris who was always on duty when she pulled in.
Six months had passed since the day they first met, and Kim decided it was time to put her nervousness aside. As she pulled up to the gate that day, the car slowed and she rolled down the window to introduce herself to Chris. She shared with him that He was one of the only things she really looked forward to each day. The two exchanged numbers, and shortly after she pulled through the gate to start her shift, he sent her a quick text to set up their first date just a week later.
Three years had now passed, and Kim and Chris found themselves together wandering the old streets of Saint Augustine, Florida. The town was bustling and counting down for New Years Eve. Chris took Kim to dinner, and after they walked along the river with one another soaking in the brisk night air and admiring the view. Kim suspected he would have asked her along the river; that he would end the evening there down on one knee with ring in hand, but instead they ended their evening and headed home. It was around 9:30 that evening, and Kim decided to call it an early “new year” and turn in for the evening. Almost asleep, Chris came to her bedside and asked her to join him downstairs. He led her to the living room and began to dance with her there. Kim turned to see two glasses of champagne on the kitchen table, and immediately started to sob. Chris led her over to the couch, and as she sat down, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.
These two will be saying I do at the White Room in just a few short months! We cannot wait to celebrate with them!!
