December 2009 – that’s back when it all began. While attending college at the University of Florida, their paths intertwined outside of the apartment complex in Gainesville, they had both been living in. A month later (January 29th, 2010 to be exact) – Michelle and Brett made it official. They were dating, and had no plans on looking back. As crazy as it looked to everyone else, 6 months later they chose to move in with one another. That seemingly crazy decision to become roomies turned out to be one of the best choices they could have made. Michelle and Brett grew alongside each other over the next few years, learning every detail of one another’s lives. They had their ups and downs, but always came out on top – if not even better than before.
December 2015, 5 years later. That old Gainesville apartment was just a distant memory now. Brett and Michelle had followed their jobs together across the country to Oklahoma. They planned a night out among the city lights. Ice skating, and then strolling under the twinkling city lights. As the evening was coming to a close they found themselves in front of a very picturesque Christmas tree. Brett grabbed a stranger passing by and asked for a quick photo of the two of them to conclude their romantic evening. Just as the stranger was about to snap the photo, Brett got down on one knee, and asked Michelle to be his wife. (In which she replied, “yes! yes! yes!”)
Fast forward to this day. The day. THEIR day. The day when “Will you?” became “I do.” The stood under the bright Florida sunshine, outside of Noah’s Event Venue in Orlando, Florida. Their story had come full circle. Surrounded with laughter, and love Brett and Michelle started this new chapter of their lives together under a bright blue sky with family and friends bearing witness to their first day as husband and wife.
