Dear Aric,
Here we are at 2 months already! Time seems to be picking up speed recently. As much as I love working, and I am not loving having to leave you and your brother during the day when I return to work this month. It will be a tough transition but I am thankful I have a job that allows me to be away from home only for a short while. Today we had our two month visit, which means the one thing mommies dread the most… shots. You cried for a good moment afterwards, but this time daddy stayed in the room with you and hugged you so tightly while you quivered and cried, and eventually settled down. You’ve been resting most of the day; but I’m thankful you are a tough little guy.
In the past month, you’ve learned to woo everyone with your smiles. Your smile lights up your whole face, and I love how you always save the biggest smiles for me. You are growing so fast. Each day you are a little bit bigger. You’re now wearing 3 month old clothes (one month ahead of schedule); and you’ve got your bedtime routine down perfectly. I’ve tried to carry you around the house in a sling but lets just say, it isn’t your most favorite thing. In fact, you really just down right hate it. Other than that there really isn’t too much that upsets you! I melt when you begin to talk to me and I love the way you turn look away when our conversation is over. I love how you are discovering more and more about the world around you, and how you study your hands and feet so intently. Each day you become more and more interested in your brother, and I know it wont be long before you are desperately trying to follow him everywhere he goes.
I love how you are my littlest buddy, and I love that you are all mine to snuggle each and every day. I love how you are still so little, and developing your own personality, though you wont be this little for too much longer.
Love,
Mommy
