My Dearest little Aric,
Happy one month birthday little man! It sounds so silly to say, its been said so much already, but I honestly can’t believe you are a month old. How could we have known life without you? Every day you get a little bigger, a little stronger and little more independent. Soon you’ll be six years old like your brother and Ill be wondering where all the time went. I know in the flash of an instant, this time will be just a memory, and you’ll be running around – no time for cuddles, snuggles and kisses. And you wont fit on my chest anymore… you barely do now!
In the past month, you’ve outgrown most of your newborn clothes we’ve said goodbye to those teenie tiny newborn diapers. You get up at least twice in the middle of the night, but sleep for a good 4-5 hour stretch every couple nights. Mommy thanks you for that! You are so very strong, and can hold your head up for long periods of time quite well. You are filled with smiles, and I think you’ve even started trying to laugh. You love to be sung too, and not just by mommy, but when Daddy and David sing to you as well. These moments are forever treasured in my heart. I still have no idea what color your hair will be. So far, I think blonde. But, we shall see. And your eyes are just a mystery to me. Those big bluish gray eyes, so filled with wonder and curiosity. I have no idea what color they will be.. Hazel? Blue? Green? Only time will tell.
I had moments of anxiety before you arrived. I didn’t think there was enough room in my heart to love you the same way I love your brother. But, my heart has grown to accommodate you as well. I can’t imagine my life without you. My littlest man.
