As a photographer I love being able to do what I do – but on the side, I have my own set of shoots that I still like to do for fun. One of my photographer “bucket list” ideas was always to shoot a bride + groom in a carnival type setting.. why? Because it’s so different! Do you see a bride and groom running around all dressed up at the carnival? No! Well, luckily for me, I had some pretty amazing volunteers to help this dream become a reality.
Enter Erika + Justin Clark. Erika sent me an email as soon as I posted that I was searching for a bride! Poor Justin didn’t know what he was getting into that day.
My good friend Jamie Benedict, whom I have worked with several times offered to do Erika’s make-up that day at no charge (Thank you Jamie!!) – everything seemed to be falling into place!
We set the * original* day for Friday. But as Florida does; it got horrifically gross out rained. So we pushed our shoot to Sunday.
On Sunday I met Jamie, Justin + Erika in the parking lot where Jamie began Erika (and Justin’s) make-up.
As we walked through the fair, I asked Erika if she felt like a celebrity with all the people yelling “congratulations” and staring at them!
I am so happy to be able to share these with you all.
Erika + Justin, you guys rocked it. Thank you SO much for coming out with me! And to my sweet friend Jamie – a million thank you’s for offering your services for the day. I know you had a busy wedding weekend, it means so much that you came out!
(be sure to go leave Jamie some love… HERE!)
Erika + Justin were married three years ago on the 4th of July – and I’m happy to say there’s still fireworks between them. 😉
