In the middle of the busy downtown Jacksonville streets, sits one of the largest, and oldest living Oak Trees in Florida. The Treaty Oak. Hundreds of people zoom by on the interstate above, some probably never knowing it exists. It sits quietly sprawled across the grassy green lawn, waiting for those who stumble across it.
In a similar way, a story unfolded in a downtown Delray bar, where Elise headed one night with friends. She wasn’t looking for love, just out to enjoy the evening. She stood in the bar laughing and conversating with her friends, letting her eyes float passed a flurry of faces in the crowd- until her eyes found Kyle’s from across the bar. She stopped mid-sentence, and pushed her way through the crowded bar sitting down next to Kyle and proceeding to ask him if he wanted to grab a slice of pizza. From there, they say the rest is history.
They planned for their engagement session at Treaty Oak. The tree that holds so much beauty in the middle of a bustling city, was the perfect background to their love story. Their love story after all, began in the middle of a bustling bar. As the sun set along the city skyline, they held hands and walked along the river enjoying an afternoon wrapped in each others arms.
Here are a few of our favorites from our evening with them in Downtown Jacksonville!
I love that they brought their pup Bryson to join in on their celebration!
Along the Riverwalk in downtown, you’ll find “love locks” along the bridge similar “Pont des Arts” bridge in Paris.
