Remember a few weeks ago when it rained.. and it rained… and it rained…
I love the rain. But as a photographer, I hate it. And as a photographer, the day of a wedding, with rain with no stopping in sight… I have full blown panic attacks. (on the inside of course.)
Kelli + Chance’s wedding day was a little different than most. The morning of their wedding they were married, formally, under God in their church with a very formal, full ceremony. The evening was scheduled for their “celebration” ceremony, and reception.
Cue anxious photographer.
As we drove up to Jacksonville for Kelli + Chance’s wedding, I knew in the back of my mind they were already married, so a few bumps in the day werent so bad. But still, I kept hoping and praying, “Lord. I need a 10 minute window. No Rain, no wind… please?”
I met Kelli upstairs, and she was as calm as could be – which in turn, made me feel very relieved. When brides don’t care about the rain, I tend to stop worrying it about myself. After all, we can’t control it, so we learn to work around it. Right?

Since Chance and Kelli were already married, we decided to do their “not so first look, a little backwards. We had Chance come surprise Kelli!

Thank you Mr. + Mrs. Wilms for allowing us to capture your day!
