Dear Aric,
Four months old! Can you believe it?!
Your hair is getting darker little by little each day, but I still cant see if you are going to have mommys hair or daddys. Your eyes are becoming a beautiful blue and they sparkle and beam with happiness everytime they open.
Your movements are more and more fluent. You are deliberate in each move you make. I caught you the other day sitting in your swing (when you were supposed to be napping) pulling the pacifier out of your mouth, looking at it for a brief moment and then popping it back in. You are so good at grabbing things (especially mommys hair) and holding them. And now, you even hold your bottle on your own for a short period of time.
You can roll over from your tummy to your back, and now are rolling side to side. So close to rolling from back to front. You are a mini-push up champion, and love being on your tummy. You scoot yourself around in a circle on your back, and tummy… I know soon youll be up and really moving!
You love to jump. Jump. Jump. So much so, that we’ve allowed you to go in your bouncer. You absolutely love it. Bouncing yourself away and playing with all your toys – a lot of which we’ve pulled down from the attic. I love seeing you play with brothers old things.
Your laugh is infectious. It gets longer, and louder each day. And you are finding more and more things to smile and giggle at.
You have discovered stranger danger. When in big crowds you tend to shy away and get a little fussy if someone tries to hold you. You have a soft spot for daddy; but even more so for David. You are always smiling when he near. When they come home you perk up and start talking very loudly until they come say hi. Then you just laugh and laugh when they are around. More things that make my heart overflow.
Each day we get to play a little more, and more of your personality starts to shine through.
