Dear Aric,
In less than two months, we will be celebrating your first birthday. Two months to go. I get anxiety just thinking about it. How can you almost be one?
We haven’t decided what kind of party we are going to do, we know you wont remember it anyway. Maybe Mickey Mouse like your brother? Maybe a pirate themed? Nautical? I have no idea.
You are officially walking. Though now, it’s more of a slow run. Your feet seem to move faster than you do. They just start going, going, going! On top of walking – you’ve started talking. Little words here and there – “mum”, “baba”, “og” (dog), “ki” (kitty) among a few others. You seem to think it’s okay to only take two 30- minute naps throughout the day; but I guess that’s okay since you sleep a little longer at night. Did I mention you are finally sleeping in your crib? Or, at least you were. You have a bit of cold right now and are back in our room with the humidifier for the time being. I hate seeing you sick. I do like the extra cuddles though, but I wish it wasn’t because you are not feeling good.
In the past month we celebrated your first Halloween. You helped your brother uphold the super hero tradition and accompanied his Spider-man costume by going as Captain America, or as David called you – Baby Cap’. You also posed for me during our Rustic Christmas Sessions this month. 🙂
I love you so much my little wanna-be toddler. Lets let the next two month slow down so you can still be my wee little guy for a while okay?
Love,
Mommy.
