If you passed down this particular stretch of the St. Johns River, you would find on one side the Naval Air Station of Jacksonville. The third largest Naval Base in the Nation, and home to some of the best aviators in the world. Across the water from NAS, tucked back behind a grand majestic lawn, under Spanish moss, and tall Oak trees, sits Epping Forest Yacht Club. A grand mansion steeped in history, suited to host the most elegant of affairs, and the perfect place for Jessica and Andrew to be married.
The sun filtered through the Spanish moss wrapping them in a warm glow as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. Tears fell from Jessica’s face as Andrew embraced her and pulled her in for a hug. They had endured the ups and downs of military life, and wedding planning and the moment they had been waiting for had finally arrived.
Friends and family gathered from all around to celebrate with them and when they said I Do, cheers of their guests floated down the grassy green lawn and out into the water ways, their love seeping into the hearts of those surrounding them that day.
Jessica and Andrew, thank you for being the most amazing people ever. Thank you for inviting us in with open arms, for laughing with us, dancing to early 2000’s emo with us on your wedding day, and braving the most crazy wind during your engagement session. (Those memories might seem trivial, but they bring a smile to my face when I think of them!) It was such an honor to be apart of your day!
