The rain had been falling for hours on end on the old St. Augustine streets alongside the square. As guests shuffled in to the Cathedral, shaking off their umbrellas and coats, Lauren sat tucked away listening to the excitement building just outside the doors, recounting the days with Bobby leading up their wedding day.
They met online while Lauren was finishing up her residency in Chicago, and began getting to know each other over rich conversations, great food, and eventually ending their evenings with a drink in hand sitting together at the piano bar.
Their evenings of date nights continued over the months that followed, from sushi and drinks, to bike riding around the lake. What started as sparks, grew into a blaze, and they knew this was definitely something different.
After Lauren had finished her residency, graduation came and she began her transition Chicago to Fort Worth – but, not without Bobby. He made plans to leave his position as a Police Officer in the Windy City, and start a new one, but this time, in Texas. After dinner one evening while Bobby’s family was visiting the two of them in town, he took the opportunity to ask Lauren for forever, knowing he couldn’t be without her.
Lauren and Bobby, I’m so thankful to have met you! Even despite the weather, you made everyone around you feel so loved and appreciated (including us!), and the day was more radiant than ever simply because of the way you two love one another and those around you! Thank you for the honor of documenting your first day as husband and wife!
