Engagement season is right around the corner – and if you’ve already begun planning, here’s a few tips to keep in mind as we head into next year!
Book your vendors.. NOW.
If you know a vendor you want for your day, dont sit on it! Wedding Vendors book out months (sometimes 18 months!) in advance – if there’s someone specific you want, it doesn’t hurt to reach out!
Plan your ceremony to be at least two hours before sunset.
Trust me on this one! This way you have plenty of time for the ceremony and formal portraits after! Jump on a google search to find out your sunset time, or, when in doubt, ask your photographer! ?
Consider doing a first look.
I’ve posted LOTS of reasons why First looks are great, those points aside, they help save so much time, and get you to the party faster!
Skip the favors.
Yup. I said it. Favors are quickly becoming a thing of the past. (Truth bomb, no one wants a key chain with YOUR last name on it.) Instead, opt for a late night snack, or if you’re set on a guest gift, give them something personalized with THEIR names on it!
Bouquet and Garter tosses are OUT
— this “tradition” is a thing of the past, (besides, do you even know why this tradition started?)
Did I mention book your vendors, now?
