The sound of a baseball bat cracked in the distance. Mark and Kristen both coached rec league ball for some of the local teams in the area, but little did they know there was more than just of the passion of the game brewing on the fields that season. Amongst the sound of cracker jacks, and fans cheering, they built a connection with one another. Mark was drawn into Kristen’s infectious laugh, and glowing smile and asked her to join him to a Tampa Rays Game.  There they shared their first date, and Kristen saw the true gentlemen Mark was. From holding open every door, to walking on the side of traffic when they walked down the sidewalk – he was melting Kristen’s heart. From that moment on, the spark between them grew into a roaring flame.

It had been three years since that first date in Tampa Bay. On a cool crisp evening in December, Mark had the perfect evening planned for the two of them. They met up with family and their closest friends and headed to a Country Christmas in Bunnell, FL. Once there they hopped on the hay ride, and snuggled in close enjoying the laughter and ambience of the crisp cool countryside.  But, the ride was cut short when the driver pulled the trailer off to the side. The crowd that surrounded them had suddenly fallen silent as Mark stood up and gave a speech… Not just any speech, a speech that included a ring intended for Kristen. It was there on that night, that he vowed, and asked for Kristen’s hand in marriage. (And of course she said yes!)

On a crisp December afternoon, one year following their engagement Kristen and Mark said I do at the Florida Agricultural Museum. They spent the night dancing with family and friends. and the feeling of that night of their engagement surrounded them once again and touches of a Country Christmas were all around.
